Taking inspiration from another masterpiece of Giovanni Bellini, our artist has imagined a  holy Virgin equipped like a modern warrior amazon. In this iconography there are clear references to some  aspects of the modern world, like the gas mask, symbolizing the global pollution and the child embraced by the Virgin to protect him from the dangers of the evil outside world that is trying to infect him, to imprison him in its pervert logic.

The symbol of the nuclear energy, becomes here the metaphor of  a purifying and destroying light able to cancel and clean the dirtiness of this world and bring a fresh new hope to the ones waiting for salvation,  starting from the core element that composes all the matter around us, the atom.
